THE PROGRAM
The Job program is not a holiday program IT IS A REAL WORK EXPERIENCE
Participants must be ready and motivated to work, Participants must be open and flexible to work anywhere
Participants should bring around 600-800 €uros, as they will have to pay for the expenses, accommodation, food, etc. before they get their first pay check
Spain is a prime tourist destination, so participants should be aware that they might have to speak different languages at work
Bring at least 2 photocopies of your passport or ID + 2 passport size pictures
Be aware that the first 2 weeks everything is new you might find yourself a bit lost, but we are here to help
WHAT LEVEL IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE?
A minimum of Intermediate level is necessary, as in order to find job placements you will have more opportunities
IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE SOME WORK EXPERIENCE?
It is not essential but it will hep to have some experience within hospitality industry to get the job offer faster
TRAVEL TO SPAIN?
Participants are responsible of their travel arrangements to Spain.
Arrival airport Madrid & Malaga.
Before arrival participants will receive through their local agency an information pack upon confirmation of job placement and other important issues from the program.
MADRID: Participants will be met at the accommodation or the office depending
if accommodation has been booked or not
MALAGA: Participants will be met at the Marbella bus station or the office depending
if accommodation has been booked or not.
WORK
Placements are in Madrid Center / Andalucia (Costa del Sol)
It is not a Money making experience” “it’s a sharing experience with other people and an opportunity to get involved in the Spanish way of life
FACTS
Jobs will be different from one to another participant, and salaries will also be different
Spain is different from your home countries and you should not compare it
Enjoy the experience of working in a different country getting involved with the culture and improving your language skills
As per the Spanish law the employers have the right to give you a trial period. During this period you must show your skills.
To avoid misunderstandings, you must be aware that travelling or holidays is not an excuse for leaving the job before ending the compromise with the employer.
If you want to travel, you should be aware that travelling will be done after you fulfil the compromise with the employer
All placements have been supervised and SERLAC has a close relationship with all the employers
The job placement proposed will depend directly on jobs available on the period of arrival
SERLAC During the entire stay keeps contact with all the employers. You must bear in mind that it is the company who hires you!
The contracts are usually temporary for the length you have agreed with the employer, minimum of 1, 2 or 3 months and renewable
Be ready to work, you are not on holidays!
